Byrny

Named for the Lawful Good fighter, Byrny, who led settlers into the area in 2881 BCCC, the town has always been plagued by nearby orcs. Rich deposits of iron were discovered nearby and the village’s technology was improved. Iron mining and the working of metal became the core trade of Byrny. In fact, the smiths of Byrny are now famous for their chainmail coats (known as “Byrnys”) as well as their swords and shields. Byrny supplies many of the weapons and armor for the Overlord and others. Iron ore is transported by ship to Modron, where the ore is loaded on larger ships for trade to all parts of the world, including the City State. The village has a rather large and experienced militia since they are frequently attacked by orcs and goblins.
